Si vienes por trabajo o de paso, el centro te ahorra traslados y te deja cerca del comercio y los servicios. Si buscas tranquilidad o viajas en grupo, las cabañas y los hospedajes de barrio ofrecen más espacio por menos dinero. Los aparthoteles, con cocina propia, son cómodos para estadías de varias semanas. Y si Temuco es tu punto de partida hacia Villarrica, Pucón o Conguillío, prioriza estar cerca de la Ruta 5 o del terminal de buses para salir temprano.
If you're here for work or passing through, the centre saves you commutes and keeps you near shops and services. Muchos viajeros usan la ciudad como campamento base: duermen en Temuco, con más y mejores servicios y precios más contenidos, y hacen excursiones de un día a la cordillera. Si ese es tu plan, un alojamiento con estacionamiento o cerca del terminal te facilitará las salidas madrugadoras.
One of the big advantages of staying in Temuco is its connectivity. Daily buses and routes leave from here to Villarrica and Pucón, to Conguillío National Park and to the area's hot springs and volcanoes. Many travellers use the city as a base camp: they sleep in Temuco, with more and better services and gentler prices, and make day trips to the mountains. If that's your plan, lodging with parking or near the terminal will make early departures easier.

Si llegas en bus, el Terminal Rodoviario te deja bien conectado con colectivos y taxis hacia el centro y los barrios. Elige la zona pensando en cómo te moverás: sin auto, el centro es lo más práctico; con auto, las afueras y las cabañas se vuelven cómodas.
If you land at La Araucanía airport (ZCO), next to Freire, you'll have about 20 km to the city: there are transfers, taxis and car rental to reach your lodging. If you arrive by bus, the Rodoviario terminal leaves you well connected by colectivo and taxi to the centre and neighbourhoods. Choose your area thinking about how you'll get around: without a car, the centre is most practical; with a car, the outskirts and cabins become comfortable.

Temuco ofrece más y mejores servicios, mejor conectividad —aeropuerto, terminal, Ruta 5— y precios más contenidos, y funciona muy bien si combinas trámites, ciudad y excursiones de un día.
It depends on the trip. Pucón is more touristy and sits by the lake and Villarrica volcano, ideal if your focus is adventure and nature. Temuco offers more and better services, better connectivity —airport, terminal, Route 5— and gentler prices, and works very well if you combine errands, city and day trips.
